The Remerton Police Department stated Glenn Davis was arrested in Cook County about noon Friday after he stopped by his place of work to pick up his check.

Davis was arrested on an unrelated Cook County warrant, but RPD was searching for him after a three-hour-long standoff that happened Thursday in Remerton. The standoff ended after Lowndes County SWAT smoke-bombed Davis’ apartment and entered to find no one inside.
The standoff began after police received a domestic violence call at the apartment on Victory Street around 10 a.m. A woman called police and told them her husband threatened to kill himself and her with a gun.
Derrick Sinclair, an investigator with Remerton police, said officers arrived shortly after the call and found the woman outside of the apartment.
Once law enforcement realized Davis wasn’t in the apartment, officials began looking for him. He was taken into custody about 24 hours later.
Davis is in the Cook County jail.
