Registration open for VSU softball camp

Registration is open for the Valdosta State softball team’s summer softball camp.

Coach Thomas Macera and players host four different three-day camps for ages 12-17 during June, with 10 spots available each week. Camps will be Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during each full week in June.

The camps feature instruction from Macera, who is the winningest active coach in Division II, and players. Campers will be taught techniques of the modern day hitter, from the correct grip and set-up to the proper bat path and explosive lower half mechanics, as well as proper fundamentals for throwing, taking ground balls and fly balls and the proper pitching technique.
