In the SunLight Project piece “Backpacks & Bulletproof Vests: Keeping schools safe,” Eric Beavers, communications specialist of Whitfield County Schools, said every Whitfield County school has two lockdown drills a year. Beavers did not speak on behalf of the Dalton school system as reported.
