Tifton man charged with murder in April shooting

TIFTON, Ga. — A local man has been charged in connection with an April 17 shooting death.

Jack Lamar Price, 62, of Tifton was charged with murder on April 25.

Rachel Jordan, 48, of Tifton was pronounced dead at Tift Regional Hospital Tuesday, April 17, after being shot several times at her residence on Old Brookfield Road.

Price allegedly shot her and then turned the gun on himself after law enforcement responded to a 911 call.

Price is currently being held in the Tift County jail.
