Six arrested in Friday drug bust

THOMASVILLE, Ga. — A number of suspects were charged in a Friday arrest after narcotics agents got information of drug activity, according to authorities. 

Drug agents served a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Kelly Street, said Keith Newman, Thomas County/Thomasville Narcotics/Vice Division assistant commander.

Newman said “several ounces of marijuana” were recovered during the search.

Quantities of methamphetamine and “large amounts of smoking devices” also were recovered, according to a drug agent. 

Four handguns also were found, the drug agent said. None came back stolen, the drug agent added. 

Others were taken into custody, but charges were dropped. 

Those arrested and charged were: 

• Bryan Lemonds Davis, Thomasville, purchase/possession/manufacture/distribution/or sale of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine with intent, possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit crime, failure to appear.  

• David Auguster James, Thomasville, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sale or distribute, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, firearm possession during crime/crime attempt. 

• Tabitha Danielle Evans, Ochlocknee, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, firearm possession during crime/crime attempt. 

• Christian Lee Fletcher, Thomasville, possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit crime, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute or sale, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. 

• Gregory Talmadge Morgan, Thomasville, possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit crime, purchase/possession/manufacture/distribution/or sale of marijuana. 

• Aurelia Dawn Benton, Thomasville, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute or sale, possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
