THOMASVILLE, Ga. — Police expect to know more Friday about a TV theft at Walmart when they view a store video.
At 3:45 a.m. Sunday, a Walmart employee reported seeing a man with three boxed 55-inch flat-screen TVs, and the individual might have left the store through a fire exit door.
According to a Thomasville Police Department incident report, an employee looked at security camera footage that showed a black male wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes put the televisions in a shopping cart. The man went to the toys and bike section and appeared to be looking at bicycles, the report stated.
The employee told police the suspect walked toward the sporting goods area, then out the fire exit door.
Outside camera footage shows the man taking the TVs to a white SUV and placing the televisions in the vehicle. The vehicle left the parking lot and turned right onto U.S. 319 North.
Police are working on obtaining store video, said Maj. Wade Glover, TPD public information officer.
“We should have it in the morning,” Glover said Thursday.
