Hahira observes Independence Day early

HAHIRA – This Lowndes County town gets an early start on Independence Day.
The City of Hahira will host an Independence Day Celebration, 10 a.m.-10 p.m., June 30, at Hahira Square, 200 W. Main St.
“We are excited to celebrate this special time for our country in the heart of our community” Mayor Bruce Cain said.
The event will provide a variety of vendors, food, entertainment and activities for all ages, according to organizers.
The day is scheduled to end with a fireworks display beginning at 9 p.m. Free water will be provided and organizers encourage the public to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the entertainment.
