Valdosta pizza place robbed

VALDOSTA — A Valdosta restaurant was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night, according to police.
Zoner’s Pizza, at 1406 N. Ashley St. — formerly known as Stoner’s Pizza Joint — was hit at 10:01 p.m., according to a Valdosta Police Department report.
A man with his face covered and wearing all black entered the restaurant with a handgun and demanded a worker give him money from the register, said Capt. Kari Williams of the police department.
He then fled on foot, she said.
An unknown amount of cash was taken, according to the report.
