The following is a list of recent business happenings in Lowndes County and the surrounding area.

VALDOSTA
• Dollar Tree, 3268 Inner Perimeter Road, Suite A, is relocating to a lot behind the Dairy Queen on Inner Perimeter Road. The building is currently under construction and is expected to be completed later in the year.
• Gypsy Lures, located across from the Valdosta Regional Airport’s general aviation terminal, is under construction, according to building permits. A timeline for completion has not been determined.
• Ms. Jackie’s Daycare/Learning Center, 500 E. Alden Ave., opened March 21. It is a daycare and learning center. For more information, call (229) 588-4436.
• Margaronas Mexican Restaurant, 907 N. Ashley St., opened July 6. It is a Mexican restaurant and sports bar.
• The Front Porch, 322 N. St. Augustine Road, was expected to open July 13. It is a dessert shop that specializes in home-style desserts such as puddings, pastries and other assorted delicacies. For more information, call (229) 305-5161.

Snopocaplypse, 2902 N. Ashley St., Suite A, opened its second location June 26. The business sells snoballs, ice cream and shakes. For more information, call (229) 469-0744.
• Cookout, 990 N. St. Augustine Road, has begun construction, according to building permits. The property is expected to be located somewhere in the Hobby Lobby parking lot. Steak and Shake’s address is 980 N. St. Augustine Road and Hobby Lobby’s address is 1000 N. St. Augustine Road.
• Jack’s Attic 1138 N Ashley St., is set to close after 10 years July 31.
