- The Coahulla Creek High School marching band's trailer was stolen earlier this month. There are no new leads in the theft.
DALTON, Ga. — Coahulla Creek High School plays its first football game in a little over three weeks. And the marching band still does not have its trailer.
The trailer, which is used to transport band equipment, was found to be missing on July 11. On Wednesday, Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Paul Woods said there have been no leads since then.
The trailer, which is 7 feet by 16 feet, is silver and emblazoned with the school name and sponsors on its side.
Band Director David Keith said at the time that because of the size and layout of the Coahulla Creek campus, the trailer is used even at home games. Keith said there were not any musical instruments stored in the stolen trailer but the theft of the trailer itself, which he said could cost upwards of $7,000 to replace, was a big hit to the program.
Anyone with information on the missing trailer can contact Keith at david.keith@wcsga.net or call the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 278-1233.
