Other opinions enlightening

A disenchanted ranter criticizes letter writers (Point of View) and writers of other worthy articles and twice emphasizes that writers are stating opinions and this is not reflective of what others may believe.

This may or may not be true as the majority of the readership are silent. But take for example letters I write and that are published. Now I can generate much controversy and ruffle a lot of feathers, so to speak. I can start a fire and see what the smoke brings out. I have received many kind and agreeable comments and also disagreeable comments of my “opinions” but that’s all right.

From their critique I gain. I perceive that the ranter has a grudge against someone in particular.

So why not join in by writing a letter venting all your frustrations and stating your opinion? The editor encourages letter writing, of course all letters are not published. For example, I wrote a lengthy letter answering Dr. Schmeir’s question. It was not published, but we move on in life.

The point is, if you felt compelled enough to pick up the phone and give a rant, sit down and write a letter. Now the kicker of the ranter’s statements is that “God did not tell you anything!” Obviously the ranter has low self esteem and is not in a true relationship with God.

God speaks to us each and every day that we have a breath. God speaks through His divinely inspired and inerrant Word, i.e.  the Holy Bible, through the creation, through people, through miracles, through angels, even through the letters and words and articles of this newspaper.

Instead of denying what God did or didn’t tell someone, release the bitterness in your life. Reading the many letters written to the editor can enrich your perceptive abilities and you can gain a grasp of the rhythm of the beat of the pulse of the readership.

And you don’t have to agree with all opinions.

So join in and have a slogging match of attrition with the ones you disagree with.
