During the investigation, LOPD officers were able to get a description of the suspects and their vehicle from viewing the restaurant’s security video, the LOPD release states.

According to the LOPD, after returning to patrol following the initial investigation an officer located a vehicle and occupants that matched those observed in the video on U.S. Highway 129 N.

Following interviews with the occupants, a lawful search was conducted on the vehicle and LOPD recovered stolen items and evidence related to the burglaries, according to the LOPD release.

The LOPD release states that officers later determined the suspects — Ethan Young Jr., James Rutledge and Tiquela Rutledge — were also involved in vehicle burglaries at Langford Stadium.

The three were charged with burglary to a conveyance and theft.

LOPD’s investigation is ongoing.
