JASPER — Hamilton County schools will remain open Tuesday but are closing Wednesday.

Superintendent Rex Mitchell made the announcement Monday evening following a meeting with Emergency Management.

All after-school activities, including the school board meeting Tuesday evening, are canceled as well.

A decision concerning whether school will be open Thursday will be made on Wednesday.
