TIFTON — Thousands of residents in the Tift County area are without power following Hurricane Michael.

Nearly 4,000 Georgia Power customers are without power as of this posting, according to Georgia Power’s outage map.

The map can be found at http://outagemap.georgiapower.com/external/default.html. Outages can also be reported through the page.

More than 150,000 Georgia Power customers throughout the state are currently affected by outages.

Colquitt EMC doesn’t break down outages by region, but reported 34,000 customers without power in its entire coverage area, as of 8 a.m.
