“Batman: The Rules of Engagement” is the fifth volume collecting the Bat issues written by Tom King.

The opening story arc in this collection has the Bat and the Cat visiting the desert home of Talia al Ghul, the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul and mother to Batman’s son.

Batman must also share the wedding plans with that son and all of the Robins.

And while this is great stuff, the second story arc included here is even more fun.

In “SuperFriends,” Batman wonders how his friend will take the wedding news and his friend wonders why he hasn’t shared the news.

That friend is Superman.

And what can be said for a story where Clark Kent and Lois Lane go on a double-date with Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle?

How about Batman and Superman swapping uniforms at a costume festival.

Again, Batman fans need to find the complete run of Tom King stories conveniently collected in trade paperback editions.

King writes the Batman stories many readers never knew they wanted.

And readers will want more.
