VALDOSTA — Jukebox heroes are coming to South Georgia as multi-platinum rock band Foreigner is set to play Wild Adventures Theme Park in April 2019.
“We want to make next year full of unforgettable experiences for our guests,” said Molly Deese, Wild Adventures general manager and vice president. “With the all-new Discovery Outpost for families and Foreigner joining our concert and special events lineup, we are well on our way to doing just that.”
Foreigner is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 75 million, according to park representatives.
Responsible for some of rock and roll’s most enduring anthems, including “Juke Box Hero,” “Cold As Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” “Feels Like The First Time,” “Urgent,” “Head Games,” “Say You Will,” “Dirty White Boy,” “Long, Long Way From Home” and the worldwide No. 1 hit, “I Want To Know What Love Is,” Foreigner has continued to rock the charts for more than 40 years.
Recently, the band observed four decades of hits with the release of “40,” a double-CD set which includes 40 songs recorded between 1977 and 2017. In August, a new stage musical, “Juke Box Hero,” debuted in Canada and features many of Foreigner’s iconic Top 30 hits.
Foreigner will join multi-platinum-selling country music star Scotty McCreery and rock band Skillet as part of the Wild Adventures 2019 All-Star Summer Concert and Special Events Series.
McCreery is fresh off his No. 1 smash hit “Five More Minutes” and currently racing up the charts with his single, “This is It,” both from his chart-topping album, “Seasons Change.”
Known for the double-platinum single “Monster,” which became the best-selling digital single in the history of Christian music, fan-favorite Skillet is returning for its 10th performance at the park.
All Wild Adventures concerts are included with park admission or a season pass. Reserved concert seats will go on sale in February.
