He said due to the large size of the company, the best time to discuss the campaign with the employees is during the monthly safety meetings.

He added that he was grateful for his team of 25 that helps with the campaign.

Guardian ad Litem, an United Way agency, presented a video of past children and volunteers speaking about why the program is important.

“We are so delighted to be here and be a part of such a fantastic organization as United Way,” said Pam Mikitta, trainer for Guardian ad Litem. “I can’t imagine us being able to do what we do without all of y’all. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.”

Mikitta said their goal is for the children to have good, safe, forever homes.

“We do it one child at a time as an advocate.”
