Neil Gibson writes stories within stories.

He’s the writer behind anthology-style digital titles such as “Twisted Dark.”

His short stories have a “Twilight Zone” feel. Such as the story of a man waiting for his dying love to switch into a beautiful healthy body. All while his mother tells him the woman does not really love him.

The types of story where many readers will see the ending coming but are nonetheless appreciative of the ride. And there are those times when the ending defies expectations.

And now, “The Theory.”

Gibson describes it as “a series of short stories that are tied together to complete a meta story. The main protagonists are Linda – an astro-archaeologist working to save our future, and Jemm-r, a time traveller working to fix our past.”

The kick-off issue available at webtoons.com is intriguing. It tells a story that should fit like a puzzle piece into a larger story.

That’s “The Theory” anyway.
