HOMERVILLE — Clinch Memorial Hospital has entered into an agreement with physical-therapy service.
The partnership is with Innovative Therapy Concepts of Hawkinsville and will help grow the physical therapy and swing-bed services at the hospital, hospital officials said.
The agreement began Dec. 1.
The partnership will result in increased staff, new capabilities and extended hours benefiting area physical-therapy patients, hospital officials said.
“We’re excited to begin our relationship with Clinch Memorial Hospital beginning Dec. 1,” said Joe Sapp, president of ITC. “Our plan is to provide the expanded support and staff needed to make Clinch Memorial the destination of choice for physical therapy in south central Georgia.”
Angela Ammons, Clinch Memorial Hospital chief executive officer, said, “Along with an inpatient swing bed marketing push, we will be offering extended outpatient hours for our patients and expand our occupation therapy offerings.”
Patients will “be spared the inconvenience of relocating to a larger market for extended periods of treatment,” Sapp said. “This is a great benefit to patients, and a needed revenue stream allowing Clinch Memorial to remain successful.”
