JASPER — Parents are frustrated with the way Hamilton County School District is handling discipline issues.
According to WTXL-TV, a recent argument on the school bus involving Ny’Toria Whitaker, an 8th grader at Hamilton County High School, turned into a fist fight.

Whitaker told WTXL that the bus driver did not stop the fight even though the other student was hitting and grabbing her hair.
She is currently serving an out-of-school suspension until further notice. Her older sister, Alicia Weir, a senior who was allegedly not involved in the fight, is also suspended.
Superintendent Rex Mitchell declined to comment.
He said due to the cases being investigated and involving minors, the school district cannot comment.
