VALDOSTA — Atlanta-based gym, Workout Anytime, is looking to expand to South Georgia, said Randy Trotter, senior vice president of development.
Workout Anytime is a “high value/low price” gym that is open 24/7, Trotter said. The company was founded in 1999 and has more than 100 locations in more than 20 states.
Trotter said Valdosta is one of the locations Workout Anytime is considering and plans to have a facility open by the end of the year.
The company thinks Valdosta community will be a good fit for one of its gyms because of the success it has had in other small to medium-sized communities, Trotter said.
At this point, the company is working with site selectors to find a location that is roughly 7,000-8,000 square feet and is attached to an established business. Trotter said the company prefers to find convenient, well-lit places to plant their gyms because they are open 24/7.
Workout Anytime is also looking to possibly expand into Thomasville and Tifton.
