VALDOSTA – Lowndes County Tax Commissioner Rodney V. Cain has announced the new online services portal for vehicle registration is up and running, according to a statement from his office.
The Georgia Department of Revenue, Lowndes County, as well as all other counties across the state installed the state-of-the-art Georgia Driver Record and Integrated Vehicle Enterprise System to upgrade and modernize the vehicle registration and titling functions, county officials said.

Now that the statewide system upgrade has been successfully completed, Lowndes County in conjunction with the Georgia Motor Vehicle Division has launched a new web services portal to enable Georgia residents to complete more vehicle services online, county officials said.
As of last week, customers can complete a host of services online including replacing registration, canceling registration, pre-applying for a title and registration, changing a registration address, inquiring about prestige tags, paying insurance fines and completing online renewals faster, county officials said.
Throughout Georgia, county tag offices are using the new system and are encouraging customers to visit the new online portal to see what online services are available for their respective county.
“Georgia DRIVES is allowing Lowndes County residents to conduct their vehicle-related business with the county at their convenience,” Lowndes County Tax Commissioner Rodney V. Cain said. “While we love seeing our customers, we are happy that they now have more options to self-serve when it comes to vehicle titling and registration.”
