Spirit of the Suwannee hosts weekend bands

LIVE OAK, Fla. – Get ready for a big weekend of great music with Terry Cole Band and Rhonda & the Relics taking the Music Hall Stage this weekend, July 12-13, at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. 

The Terry Cole Band, a longtime favorite at the park, brings a “dynamic experience that draws you onto the dance floor Friday, July 12,” park representatives said. “Producing music that spans all genres, the band entertains crowds at all venues ranging from country, Southern rock, classic rock dance music, classics and hits from the ’70s through ’90s.”

The Terry Cole Band of Brooksville features Terry Cole, Scott Turner and Dave Aronow, park representatives said.

Saturday, July 13, it’s Rhonda & the Relics Band. 

“This exciting band will bring a night of classic rock, blues, R&B, country, pop and Americana music to get you out on the dance floor,” parks representatives said.

Rhonda and the Relics began playing music together eight years ago although all members are life-long musicians. Members are Rhonda Bennett (vocals/percussion), John Bennett (vocals/guitar/bass), Marc Hand (vocals/keyboard/acoustic/bass), all from Alma, Ala.; Charles Whitley (vocals/guitar), Douglas, Ga., and Mike Lauthan (drums), Adel, Ga. 

Doors to the music hall open for dinner at 6 p.m., music begins at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Free admission. 

At 5 p.m. Thursday night, July 11, doors open for dinner. Karaoke with Ted McMullen runs 7-10 p.m. Free admission.
