LAKELAND – Rolling into Lakeland soon is the 16th Annual Biker Fest for Kids.

Sponsored by the Second 2 None Riders club, the fest is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at Martin Luther King Park.

Club President Willie Carter said organizers expect to donate school supplies to 300-500 students.

Other activities include a bounce house and various games. There will be bicycle giveaways, ticket drawings, a DJ, a guest speaker and free meals for guests.

Club members usually give motorcycle rides to kids, Carter said.

He said the event, which grows each year, is held to give back to the community.

“It’s a way for the community to come together,” Carter said.

Residents typically travel from Valdosta, Homerville, Nashville and Adel.

When the Biker Fest initially began, the Second 2 None Riders paid for the event out of pocket; but Carter said the event is now dependent upon sponsors.

The club accepts cash donations and will sell T-shirts during the event.

Vendors are still being accepted. Carter asks all items provided by vendors be given away for free.
