Alter Eagles to deliver Eagles tribute show

LIVE OAK — Make plans now to be part of the big weekend at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Fla. when The Alter Eagles – the Eagles Definitive Tribute Band and also the Jukebox Oldies Band will bring great musical presentations to fans.

Along with these two great bands appearing in the Music Hall, the Suwannee Spirit Kids Music Camp will have more than 100 kids attending camp who will spend the weekend learning to play many different instruments.

The Suwannee Spirit Kids Music Camp will run from Friday – Sunday with all kinds of great fun for the kids attending. Instruments are provided during the camp for those students who do not have their own. Kids 5-17 will learn how to play guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, ukulele and hand drums while others may learn to sing. A crafts event and cookout are part of this great weekend for the kids…all free. Sunday is the big day when the students play during the concert in the afternoon in the Amphitheater. The Jukebox Oldies of Valdosta, Ga., will be in the Music Hall to start off the weekend Friday. The band has become a regular at SOSMP because it brings such great music. The band loves to play AM radio hits, primarily from the 60s for your listening and dancing pleasure and a few from the 50s – 90s also. The band’s motto and mission statement is “Good Times, Great Oldies…Songs You Can Sing Along To ‘Cause You Know The Words!!” Doors open at 6 p.m. for dinner, music starts at 8 p.m. Admission is free.

Saturday night, the Music Hall will be full of Eagles’ fans as the Alter Eagles, The Definitive Eagles Tribute Band, pays tribute to the famous Eagles band in the Music Hall. Doors open at 7 p.m. for dinner. The Alter Eagles take the stage at 9 p.m. for an evening of terrific Eagles’ music with the entire evening being sung live with no backing vocal tracks. They will play songs such as “Take It Easy,” “Desperado,” “One of these Nights,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” “Hotel California,” “Tequila Sunrise,” “New Kid in Town,” “Wasted Time” and “The Last Resort” as well as songs from the newer albums and solo careers such as “Heartache Tonight.” The band is composed of five civic minded musicians who came together for the love of Eagles’ music. They pool their talents to provide the most accurate, live re-creation of one of the greatest American bands of all time, The Eagles.

Opening for the big show will be the exciting Kian Sanchez, who is amazing audiences in North Florida. This outstanding 12-year-old performer has sung on the Music Hall Stage previously to accolades. Kian, a student who lives with his parents and siblings in Jacksonville, has been singing in public since age 9. He recently was featured on TV, is currently recording videos with another great Jacksonville/SOSMP singer, Godiva, and winning singing contests, performing at nursing homes, parties and festivals.
