The Valdosta Wildcats football team will get its first taste of real action tonight in Brunswick. The ‘Cats battle the Glynn Academy Red Terrors at 8 p.m. –– a rematch of last year’s second round of the Class 6A state playoffs that saw Valdosta defeat Glynn Academy 35-24. Following tonight’s scrimmage, the ‘Cats will have a week to prepare before their season opener Aug. 23 against Jackson.
