LIVE OAK — Local writers can receive critiques and advice at the Live Oak Library the next few weeks.
The Live Oak branch of the Suwannee River Regional Library System’s new writers group meets Saturday and Dec. 14 from 1-3 p.m. each day. During the meetings, the group will read over and critique each other’s work. Shirley Rivers, who is hosting the group, will also provide publishing tips.
The seed library will be open Wednesdays at the library from 1-3 p.m. In addition to checking out seeds, the Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions.
On Thursday, the SongFarmers of Live Oak will be gathering at 5:30 p.m., but not at the library like normal. Rather, the SongFarmers will meet for a Christmas gathering at Covenant First Presbyterian Church at 421 White Avenue SE. Those attending are asked to bring their favorite Christmas songs to sing and play.
The AARP is hosting a Driver’s Safety Class at the library on Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Class size is limited. For more information or to register, please call 386-688-5081.
