Thousands of customers were reported without power in Lowndes County around 8:30 p.m. as severe weather moved through the area.

More than 2,200 Colquitt EMC customers in the company’s Valdosta region were without power, according to the company’s outage map.

Five Georgia Power customers in the Dasher area were reported without power.
