Customers gain larger space & easier access 

TIFTON —  December 8, 2022 – Mediacom Communications announced today it will open the doors to its new Tifton-area customer service center on Monday, December 19, at 9:00 am. The new center is located in a retail center at 2201 US Highway 41 North, Suite 4.

Mediacom Senior Director for Area Operations, Darryl Chaney, said the new site was chosen to provide customers with more space and better entry access. Its proximity to the interstate is convenient, he said, because the office also serves customers from communities beyond Tift County. The expanded space accommodates larger display pedestals to give customers an up-close and hands-on experience with the company’s home Wi-Fi and broadband products.

“We’ve made it a priority to transform the experience customers receive when they come in for information and service,” Chaney said. “We’re proud to serve Tifton and dozens of communities in and around Tift County; and we’re especially pleased to make this latest investment to benefit customers and our local employees.”

For the past 10 years, Mediacom leased office space at 1821 Highway 82 West. The building’s owners plan to tear it down to create space for new development. All operational functions housed in Mediacom’s previous location will move to the new facility, including a center for broadband network and service technicians and an equipment warehouse. The company has 23 positions that operate from its Tifton facilities.

In conjunction with its move, Mediacom is expanding hours for customer service representatives to be available to customers. The customer service center will be open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm daily, Monday through Friday, beginning December 19. An official ribbon-cutting and customer open house will be scheduled early in the new year.
