— A new business is taking shape on Inner Perimeter Road. Precision Overhead Garage Door Service is going in at 4373 Inner Perimeter Road, the former office location of Southern Fibernet.

— Another eatery is planned for Valdosta. A sign outside the former Hug in a Mug location on Baytree Road advertises Walden’s, a drive-through and catering concern.

— Bright Horizons Preschool of Valdosta has been awarded an Expanding Parents’ Access to Nontraditional Delivery grant by the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning. it was one of seven child care providers and six nonprofit and government organizations across the state to receive the grants, which range from $50,000 to $500,000 each, a statement from DECAL said.

There are two types of EXPAND Grants: one for licensed child care providers to expand their operating hours and a second for government entities and nonprofit organizations to form collaboratives to address the child care access challenges in their communities.
