GBI probes Quitman murder

QUITMAN — Authorities are investigating a murder that took place Tuesday in Quitman.
Around 1:34 a.m., police asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for help probing a murder that took place in the 900 block of South Lee Street in Quitman, a GBI press release statement said.
The victim — Willie Giddens Jr., 29 — was shot and killed inside his home, the statement said. His body will be sent to a crime lab for an autopsy.
Other people were inside the home, one of whom was injured during a home invasion and suffered wounds that were severe but not life-threatening, the GBI said.
