VALDOSTA — Police charged a Valdosta man with drug offenses Friday after executing a search warrant at his residence.
The Valdosta Police Department issued a statement Friday evening that said narcotics detectives with the assistance of the Power Squad and K-9 units searched an apartment in the 1700 block of Northside Drive earlier that day. Detectives had received complaints about narcotics activity from the apartment, the VPD said.
Detectives seized cocaine, oxycodone, marijuana, and tools that are indicative of narcotics transactions, police said.
The 31-year-old resident of the apartment was found to have active arrest warrants that were not related to the search warrant.
In addition to those three warrants — which the VPD statement gave no details on — the man has been charged with:
• Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute-felony.
• Possession of oxycodone-felony.
• Possession of marijuana-misdemeanor.
• Possession of drug-related items-misdemeanor.
