VSU stole those two runs right back in the bottom half, as Lawn legged out a fielder’s choice to bring home Romano before a beautifully executed double steal allowed Pierce to steal home and make it 11-2 through five.

Brown retired Georgia College in order in the top half of the sixth and two quick outs in the bottom half had no one on and two outs for junior Pedro Moreno. A six pitch at-bat resulted in a double down the left field line to start the two-out rally, as Romano and Pierce followed suit with two double of their own, as the Blazers were pouring it on. Four runs would cross home plate in the bottom of the sixth with two down as it was 15-2.

The Bobcats scored a run in the top of the seventh but a 5-3 double play by Romano to Pierce finished off Georgia College as Valdosta State dominated, winning 15-3.
