The Corporation of the Quarter award was created by Renasant Bank with the Valdosta Chamber to recognize larger chamber businesses with 36 or more employees who prioritize community involvement and have an employee-centric culture. Nominees are anonymously nominated, and a panel of local business owners review applications to select the winners.

Berry Global, a leading manufacturer of rigid and flexible products, operates over 250 locations worldwide, providing innovative packaging solutions for a diverse range of industries, the chamber said. Their extensive global network enables efficient production and delivery, meeting nearly any manufacturing need.

Despite their global reach, Berry Global operates with a local delivery model, ensuring superior service and solutions tailored to the unique needs of each community they serve, the chamber said. From small rural towns to bustling metropolitan areas, Berry Global strives to make a positive impact, reinforcing their role as a community-oriented organization.

Wheelhouse Aesthetics named Small Business of the Month

The Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber and award sponsor First Commerce Credit Union named Wheelhouse Aesthetics Small Business of the Month. Wheelhouse Aesthetics provides a comprehensive range of aesthetic services including Botox, fillers, facials, skin tightening, laser hair reduction, and medical-grade skincare. Catering to both men and women of all ages, they address a variety of skincare concerns in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

“Our mission is to ensure everyone feels welcome and valued,” said owner Jessica Mitchell. “We prioritize transparency in our pricing and offer various payment plans to make aesthetics more attainable. Our goal is to educate our clients, addressing all their questions and concerns to ensure they leave our establishment feeling confident and beautiful.”

Wheelhouse Aesthetics stands out not only for its exceptional service but also for its commitment to the local community, the chamber said. Mitchell and her husband, who is a co-owner and volunteer soccer coach for the Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks & Recreation Authority, actively support local schools and sports teams through financial donations for uniforms and other needs. Additionally, they make a conscious effort to shop locally, further stimulating the Valdosta economy.

Looking ahead, Mitchell plans to host educational seminars and luncheons to teach the community about proper skincare. She aims to demystify the overwhelming array of products available in stores like Ulta and Sephora by educating people on how to read labels and use products correctly for optimal results.
