Lowndes 4-H offers ‘Ag in Action’ day camp July 9-11

LOWNDES COUNTY — This summer, ignite your child’s curiosity with the exciting “Ag in Action” Summer Day Camp hosted by Lowndes County 4-H. The three-day summer camp will be held from 1:15-4:30 p.m. July 9-11 at the Lowndes County 4-H Center, 2102 E. Hill Ave. The cost is $30 per child (includes all activities, materials, and snacks).

Designed for youth in grades 4-6, this enriching camp promises two days of hands-on learning centered around the fascinating world of agriculture.

On Day 3, campers can look forward to a fun-filled day of water activities, featuring a big waterslide.

Additionally, they can enjoy board games and a movie.

There will be education workshops.

Dive into interactive workshops where kids will learn about crops, livestock animals and exhibitors, and bee farming.

There will also be crafts and projects. Campers will engage in creative activities that connect art with agriculture, fostering imagination and learning.

Campers will meet local experts and farmers who will share their knowledge and passion for agriculture.

Spaces are limited. Registration forms are available at the Lowndes County 4-H Office.
