During his brief remarks, Carr began by providing an overview of his role and responsibilities, stating, “We are the lawyers of the executive branch of state government.”

Carr highlighted several significant federal issues his office has been actively working on, including the H2A program, which addresses the needs of agricultural workers, and pressing water issues affecting the state.

He underscored the crucial intersection of state and federal matters that his office navigates on behalf of Georgia’s citizens and businesses.

Carr also tackled a range of topics vital to the well-being of communities and businesses across Georgia. He discussed efforts to combat domestic terrorism, human trafficking, gang violence, and organized retail crime.

“I am proud of my team; working with federal, state, and local law enforcement just last year, we rescued and assisted 129 human trafficking victims,” Carr shared, highlighting the collaborative successes and the dedication of his office to protecting the most vulnerable populations.

The audience appreciated Carr’s willingness to engage directly, as he took time to answer questions from the crowd, fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges and initiatives underway.
