VALDOSTA — Authorities are investigating a fire that burned a building Wednesday in Valdosta.

The blaze took place at 308 Lee St. Lane, a Valdosta Fire Department statement said. A police officer found the fire in a vacant structure; fire units that arrived within three minutes found heavy smoke and flames, the statement said.

An “aggressive fire attack” took place as firefighters confirmed the structure was vacant, the fire department said. No injuries were reported; the Valdosta Police Department and South Georgia Health EMS assisted on scene.
