Stone Creek Golf Club to host TKO Fairway 5K

VALDOSTA — The TKO Fairway 5K is coming to Stone Creek Golf Club Nov. 8 as a unique opportunity to hit the greens without clubs. Proceeds help support Valdosta State cross country teams.
The hybrid cross country, trail run and walk will have an 8 a.m. start, with the starting point being on the fairway of the 18th hole. Course of the 5K is described as a “rolling mix of golf course fairway and cart paths.” None of the run will be on public roads.
There will be awards for top overall male and female runners, as well as the top three in age groups ranging from under 10 years old to 70 and older.
Everyone who registers who will get a free raffle ticket. The top prize in the raffle is $100, but many other items are included, such as shoes and coupons. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased.
A photographer will be on site for free photos.
Early registration for the TKO Fairway 5K has ended, but participants can still sign up on race day. Registration is $30 for an individual and $75 for families. Walkers are welcome, but dogs are not allowed.
