VALDOSTA— Lowndes High School’s standout baseball players took center stage as student-athletes, families, and supporters gathered to celebrate their hard work, dedication, and the exciting next steps in their athletic journeys.

Drew Page, Garrett Moon, and Coleman Lewis were the stars of the day, each committing to continue their baseball journeys at the collegiate level. Head baseball coach Ryan Page, who has guided these players through years of growth, called the event “one of the most exciting days” for a coach.

“Every year, it is one of the most exciting days as a coach when your guys get to go on and live a dream and have the opportunity to play at the next level,” said Page.

Drew Inman was recognized for his determination and growth as he signed with Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). Coach Page, who has known Inman since childhood, reflected on his journey.

“I am super proud of you. Watching you grow from a little man to a big man and the effort that you put into the game, not just there but also in the classroom. Inmans, you all have done a great job raising a great young man,” stated page.

Moon, who committed to Valdosta State University, is excited to continue playing close to home. Coach Page praised Garrett for his dedication since joining the program.

“Garrett is a true example of someone who came in as a ninth grader, bought into the program, did the work, and has waited and bided his time,” stated Page. “I know he’s been chomping at the bit, wanting to get his opportunity, and he’s gonna be a huge part of our three-peat this year,” said Page, referencing the team’s attempt at a third consecutive GHSA state baseball championship.

Lewis, known for his quiet yet commanding presence, completed the group. Coach Page expressed his excitement about watching Coleman play at Georgia Tech.

“Coleman has been a tremendous athlete since he came out of the womb,” said Page. “You have seen him on the football field, and he is the same way on the baseball field.”

The ceremony concluded with the players signing their letters of intent, surrounded by proud parents, teammates, and friends. Coach Page ended on a hopeful note:

“Lowndes baseball is super proud of you, and we are not done. Hopefully, we will have a few more signers. We’ve got more young men that will have the opportunity to go on and play as well.”
