VALDOSTA — The Valdosta State Blazers move on to the Division II national football quarterfinals after defeating Miles College Saturday, 33-17, at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium.
VSU, now 11-0, will play Virginia Union Dec. 7 in the quarterfinals. Virginia Union won over Lenoir-Rhyne in their Saturday matchup, 44-12. This game will also be at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium. A time has not been announced yet.
The Blazers held a 16-3 lead at halftime, then got two touchdowns in the span of nine seconds at the end of the third quarter for a 30-3 lead. Miles scored both of its touchdowns in the fourth.
