Three teens charged with theft

VALDOSTA — Three people were arrested Monday on theft charges.
Around noon, police were told a stolen car was in the 1700 block of Largo Circle, a Valdosta Police Department statement said.
Officers found the car parked in a driveway with three men inside. The three were taken out of the car and arrested without incident after giving conflicting stories about who owned the vehicle, the statement said.
The car was listed as stolen in DeKalb County and the owner said no one had permission to have it, police said.
More than a pound of marijuana plus narcotics tools were found inside the car, the statement said.
Two of the suspects were 17, while the third was 19. All three were charged with felony receiving stolen property, while one of the 17-year-olds also faces a felony charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, the police statement said.
