VALDOSTA —  Mediacom Communications recognized three local employees based out of the Valdosta Mediacom office who achieved the company’s top performance rankings for outstanding customer service over the past year. 

Last month, an award ceremony was held with corporate executives where the Valdosta-based individuals were recognized for their high performance in 2024. 

Kristin Huffmaster earned the highest marks in service performance over the past year, resulting in a National Gold-level Employee of the Year for excellence in sales support. She has been employed by Mediacom for 21 years. 

Rachael Johnson has been a Mediacom employee for 10 years and was recognized with the Employees Choice Award in Customer Service.

Sharon Meriweather was awarded the People’s Choice Award for outstanding customer service performance and has been employed at Mediacom for two years.

Johnson and Meriweather were two of 39 employees nationwide to earn a Call Center award for exemplary service in 2024.

Companywide, Mediacom employs over 3,500 people, and the award recipients were among 196 employees recognized for performance achievements over the past year. Award recipients receive a monetary bonus and other employee recognition.
