VALDOSTA — Home Instead, Heart of Hospice and Chick-fil-A of Inner Perimeter Road hosted “Welcome Home for the Holidays Veterans.” The event was held Friday, Dec. 6, at the Winn-Dixie on North Ashley Street. 

Veterans were recognized for coming home for the holidays as many of them did not receive a warm welcome home from Vietnam. The first 40 veterans who walked out of Winn-Dixie were given a bag that included a Chick-fil-A free sandwich, American flag and a flag lapel.
