Generals basketball tips off with strong start

DASHER — The Georgia Christian basketball teams kicked off their season last week with spirited performances, showing resilience and determination in a mix of home and away games.

Monday, Dec. 2: The season began on a high note as all Georgia Christian teams swept Westwood in an exciting home opener. The packed gym erupted with energy as the Generals celebrated a clean sweep.

Tuesday, Dec. 3: The middle school girls and varsity girls teams continued their winning ways with strong victories over Valwood. However, the varsity boys faced a tough challenge, falling to Valwood in a hard-fought contest.

Thursday, Dec. 5: The varsity girls team shone again, securing another victory, this time against Lanier County in front of an enthusiastic home crowd. Meanwhile, the varsity boys fought valiantly but came up short in their matchup.

Despite some setbacks, the Generals’ season is off to an exciting start. Fans can look forward to even more action during the Blue & White Weekend. Friday, December 13, and Saturday, Dec. 14, are two days of basketball at home, against Tiftarea Academy and Grace Christian.

Georgia Christian will be at Citizens Christian Dec. 17, the last scheduled game before the holidays.
