VALDOSTA — An attempt to serve an arrest warrant on one person Wednesday wound up with two arrests.

Police detectives went to a home in the 400 block of Webster Street to serve an active arrest warrant on a 35-year-old Valdosta man, a Valdosta Police Department statement said.

While there, the detectives smelled narcotics odors in the home; they obtained a search warrant and found powder cocaine, a firearm and tools and currency “indicative of narcotic sales,” the statement said.
