SGMC Health recognizes Sanders for service as chief of medical staff

VALDOSTA — SGMC Health recognizes Jared Sanders, MD, for his exceptional service and leadership as chief of staff from January 2023 through December 2024.
A native of South Georgia, Dr. Sanders graduated from Lee County High School and Georgia Southwestern State University before earning his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and joined the SGMC Health Medical Staff in 2016.
Dr. Sanders served as chief of staff elect from January 2021 through December 2022, and subsequently as chief of staff.
“Dr. Sanders’ passion for patient care and his commitment to collaboration have elevated the standard of healthcare delivery at SGMC Health,” said Hospital Authority Board Chairman Sam Allen. “His collegial approach to leadership and his ability to drive change have made a lasting impact on our patients, staff, and organization as a whole.”
Elizabeth Flail, DO, will serve as SGMC Health’s chief of staff beginning in January 2025.
