VALDOSTA — No one was injured in a fire Friday on Jo Ree Street.

Around 7:58 a.m., firefighters headed to a house fire at 1205 Jo Ree Street, a statement from the Valdosta Fire Department said.

They found heavy smoke and flames coming from the single-family building.

Three residents were displaced and received help from the American Red Cross. The fire’s cause was being investigated.

The Valdosta Police Department and SGMC Health EMS helped with on-scene operations.
