HAMILTON COUNTY, Fla. — A Valdosta man died in an auto accident Wednesday in Florida.

The accident took place at 6:16 a.m. on State Route 6 east of County Road 751 in Hamilton County, Fla., a Florida Highway Patrol statement said.

A pickup truck driven by a 26-year-old Jasper, Fla., man was heading east on SR 6 while a white box truck driven by a 24-year-old Valdosta man was heading west on the same road. The pickup veered into the westbound lane, colliding with the box truck, which overturned.

The drivers of both vehicles were killed, the statement said.

As a matter of policy, the Florida Highway Patrol does not issue the names of wreck victims.
