VALDOSTA — Ben Hogan, MD, a distinguished community physician with more than two decades of expertise in family and sports medicine, has joined SGMC Health’s physician network. Hogan’s practice, now operating as SGMC Family and Sports Medicine, is located at 117 W. Northside Drive in Valdosta.
His services include treatment for musculoskeletal injuries, injury prevention and medical management of athlete-specific conditions like exercise-induced asthma. Hogan has also served as the team physician for Valdosta City Schools and Valdosta State University Athletics since 2001.
“Our mission is to help patients achieve optimum well-being and performance through strategic medical assessment, intervention, and education,” Hogan said. “We focus on building lifelong partnerships with our patients to ensure their health and wellness goals are met with excellence and teamwork.”
He earned his medical degree from the Mercer University School of Medicine and completed his residency in family medicine with a special interest in sports medicine at the University of Alabama. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine.He and his wife, Leigh Ann, have two children, Haley and Pate.
