VALDOSTA — The City of Valdosta will close South Fry Street Thursday from Highway 221 North to MLK Drive to replace a manhole.

Both northbound and southbound lanes of South Fry Street will be closed to traffic, the city said in a press release Tuesday afternoon. A detour will redirect vehicles down South Forrest Street, bringing traffic to M.L.K Drive.

The city urges drivers to please follow signage and directions.
